Deronda your song is awesome!! I've said it before but I'll say it again, love your voice!
I really enjoyed this post, there is something about the presence of water that seems to get ideas flowing and oh I imagine that smell, sounds lush! What a great flow of ideas buzzing one after after followed by laughter, recording and a great creation!
And your friend is a great example of how like you said, we're never too old to learn, we are here to learn and grow and this is the beauty of living discovering new possibilities, knowledge and opportunities! Love this!
I couldn't agree more! I swear the water spirits just wait for my morning shower to pounce and fill me with ideas! 😄It's been such a struggle to not have a bathtub for so long... oh, the agony! 😂 Although now that we are remodelling our bathroom and getting one... I can just imagine how relentless the water spirits will be with me when I'm soaking! 😄
Deronda, I love this! This is something I had to learn myself! And funny enough, I recently had this very conversation with my foster mom. She's spent so much of her life helping others, and when some of those same people wanted to help her through a difficult time, she really struggled to accept it. She felt embarrassed, knew they didn't have much themselves, and didn't want to impose.
I finally asked her how she feels when she's able to give to someone else. She said it makes her feel good inside. So I asked her, "Then why would you want to deny someone else that same feeling?" ❤️I told her that allowing these people to give back to her was actually a gift she could give THEM. And you know what? She accepted their help, and they actually told her how grateful they were to finally be able to do something for her! I wrote about this once, the gift of receiving. Because sometimes we forget that receiving can be just as generous an act as giving. I love that a bubble bath and some Bourbon Vanilla brought you to this beautiful realization! And a song, too! 😁💜
